The Ukrainian Bible Institute and the Christians affiliated with it are involved in many different benevolent programs. They are helping orphans, Children's Hospitals, diabetics, children with special needs, Widows, etc. It is our belief that pure Christianity is not found in buildings but in helping our fellowman. Training Workers (for Ukraine and Beyond) The purpose of the Ukrainian Bible Institute is to train workers for the Kingdom of God. We believe that the shortest distance to global evangelism is the multiplication of trained spokesmen. We at the Ukrainian Bible Institute are always seeking to improve our service to the Lord and His church in Ukraine. We have dedicated ourselves to the training of men and women for service in local congregations and for missionary efforts. Our graduates are scattered throughout Ukraine and neighboring countries and yet we seek for more ways to lift up the cause of Christ.
Dear brother or sister in the Lord!
The Ukrainian Bible Institute, formerly known as the Donetsk School of Bible and Evangelism was
established in 1994. It has turned into one of the most famous ministry training centers in Ukraine! Ukrainian Bible Institute continues growing, transforming and developing! Since 1994 about 133 brothers and sisters have graduated from the institute. At the moment they do their ministry all over Ukraine and beyond its boundaries. The number of the new students at UBI is constantly growing due to the fact that the students come to UBI not only from all the regions of Ukraine but also from Russia, Moldova, Belarus and other countries of CIS. We have also had students from Canada and the USA. The Institute has received state recognition and was the first institute of the churches of Christ registered with the Ukrainian State Committee of Religious Affairs. Graduates of UBI for the first time this year received a BA degree in Biblical Studies.
The students and faculty of UBI have had a great impact on Ukraine, baptizing hundreds into
Christ, starting new congregations of the Lord's church and strengthening many other local
congregations.
UBI is situated in the capital of the Donbass region in the city of Donetsk, Ukraine. This region is unique: in Donetsk and its region there are over 50 registered congregations of the churches of Christ and many more who are not registered. The Donbass region makes up the majority of all the congregations situated in Ukraine, but the church is expanding in more and more regions of Ukraine. UBI works in cooperation with the local congregations proving a continuous process of training leaders. From time to time we hold Seminars on Leadership, special seminars on Prison Ministry, special seminars for graduates, provide days for Women’s Fellowship and host teen and children’s activities. We have summer and winter practicums with our students with special work that they must be involved in with their home congregations.
UBI is one of the international branches of Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock,
Texas, USA. We presently have 22 full time students and 72 students taking courses by external
studies. UBI is working hard to train it's students in evangelism, teaching, and benevolence.
Our staff and students are very involved in work with orphanages, children's hospitals, and camps
for children and orphans. We do our best to practice pure religion (James 1:27). God has been
continuing to bless our work and open additional doors of opportunity. We are always grateful to
all those who provide support financially and through prayer. We are constantly needing
additional support for the school and for students.

Students at UBI
We are constantly looking for new students and are seeking to equip them to preach the word of God wherever He may choose to send them. Students at UBI are admitted based upon their service in their local congregation and that congregation's willingness to recommend them. This recommendation generally comes after they have shown their commitment to Christ in their local church. Most of the teaching at UBI is done in the Russian language so to enter UBI a person must be proficient in speaking and understanding Russian. It is also recommended that students come with their own support. In some case we can secure support for the student but that is not guaranteed. The Ukrainian Bible Institute is a branch school of the Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas. If you are wishing to take courses in English it would be best to contact them. Their website is: http://www.sibi.cc

UBI COMMITMENTS
We are committed to a Biblical Foundation. For any aspect of ministry and leadership in the church, one key to success is a strong Biblical foundation. We periodically reexamine our curriculum to be sure that each student is taught each and every book of the Bible. Our goal for UBI graduates is that they understand, preach, and live "sound doctrine."
We are committed to prayer. We are constantly aware that "our sufficiency is of God," and "not ourselves." We know it and we pray often and diligently. We lift up each other, our supporters, alumni, and the sick and discouraged in prayer. We praise and thank God for His blessings understanding that we are the recipients of the bounty of our loving Father. We try to bathe everything we do in prayer.
We are committed to relationships. More than a school with classrooms, curriculum, and clerical offices, UBI strives to be a family in which discipleship is developed through relationships. We desire for our teachers to be mentors and models rather than merely professors. Our goal is to be open, to be vulnerable, to be accessible, and to be accountable to one another. We want to build relationships with God, each other, and the community.
We are committed to simplicity. Any group of people organized for specific goals must have structure. Families, churches, and schools have rules, restrictions, boundaries, and policies. However, at times, like the gathering barnacles on a ship, policies and rules proliferate and cling to an organization and impede its progress. We try to continually simplify our process and policies to promote our values and to protect our people. Above all we simply want to serve our Lord and honor Him.
